I am Remi, a high school senior who is passionate about astronomy. I became interested in astronomy at 11 years old after camping in Colorado and seeing the stars away from the city lights for the first time. At 15, I started trying to learn about the subject, first through various books and guides that I purchased, and eventually through a course at Emory University over the summer. The more time and money that I spent on this subject, the more I noticed the unequal opportunities in astronomy education, and I vowed to change that.

After becoming interested in astronomy at a young age, Remi realized that it was incredibly difficult and expensive to learn about the subject. Although she had the opportunity to pursue this interest, she recognized that others might not be so lucky, and thus, Ready the Stars was born with the mission to bring free astronomy education to anyone who wanted it!
